Provenance & lore

Old Tom’s story.

Old Tom is the humblest piece we keep, and in some tellings the most important. A hand-stitched mountain doll, he was hung beside the door of a Blue Ridge homestead for the better part of a century — a folk guardian against whatever wandered the ridgeline.

He asks for nothing and makes no trouble. Families who kept him simply felt safer with him by the threshold. We offer him to a home that would like the same.

  • Hand-stitched cloth
  • Button eyes
  • A threshold guardian

A note on this piece. Every piece is offered as a curio for entertainment and collection. Each story reflects the doll’s lore and provenance as it was passed to us; no paranormal activity is claimed or guaranteed. Adopters must be 18+.
